Union Officer Pay and Compensation (2000)
Many flight attendants are asking why anyone would want to
work for the union. Others want to know how much are union officers compensated.
Union members working on union business are compensated for their expenses
and for their time. While in some instances this compensation is
insignificant when compared with the amount of work that they do, this
compensation can amount to far more than they can make flying the line
with the rest of us. If the Association of Flight
Attendants (AFA) is elected, we can expect our most visible Delta
activists to take these positions. This is a compensation
chart of AFA officers compiled from the publicly available information
taken from the Year 2000 AFA LM-2
