"we
shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we
shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender . . ."
- Winston Churchill
Deltafa.org is glad that you asked us. The Association of
Flight Attendants-Communication Workers of America (afa-CWA) is at it
again.
We are puzzled why it is even trying. The afa-CWA lost the last
election by a large margin. Its
leadership has given back wages and benefits at afa-CWA represented
carriers. Its President, Patricia Friend mismanaged the old AFA's
resources so badly that it had to merge with the CWA.
However, the afa-CWA still desperately needs the dues of Delta flight
attendants. it is coming back. There is a new campaign.
Once again, we are
expecting a heightened AFA presence in our lounges, parking lots, and
concourses. More flight attendants who feel that the afa-CWA
is not our answer will need to become involved. The afa-CWA
has a well financed campaign led
by motivated activists. No matter what you think, the afa-CWA could
produce enough cards to hold another election. This time, it could
win.
If you still do not feel that the afa-CWA is the right solution
for Delta Flight Attendants, we ask that you step forward and help educate our coworkers why the
afa-CWA will harm Delta and our
careers.
Many of our coworkers are unaware of the issues. Scablists,
external pressures to organize us, and
the AFA plan to bust Delta are
just a few issues that we can share with our friends. This
site, the Freedom Force, Vicious
Truths, and Delta are all sources of information for you to use.
Participate in the DeltaFA
Talk Discussion Board. It is there for those who want to use it to
talk with other flight attendants.
If you want to help, we recommend that you read our How
Can I Help page. If you wish to do more, we are going to publish
more flyers for you hand out. Distributing these flyers gives our coworkers
another source of information. Keep in mind that our activist friends especially
like getting these flyers.
All of our printable material can be found in our tool
kit. It can be downloaded and printed at your home.
